THE REVIEW: RMK MAKE-UP – EYES, LIPS AND CHEEKS

 On my Face – Jelly Cheeks in ’01’ | Irresistable Lips in ’28 Rose’ 

It has to be the mirrored packaging that delights my eyes.

RMK make-up products are just so beautifully packaged.

It has to be an advantage when your eyeshadow palette doubles up as a mirror for those occasions when you forget to throw your compact into your handbag.

I have been a fan of the RMK – Rose Balm Cleanser

  for over a year now and have always been interested in giving other products from the extensive range by RMK a try.

Today I shall introduce you to my thoughts on some RMK make-up.

Kicking off with my muse of the moment – the lips.

Irresistible Lips – ’28 Rose’*: This lipstick is one of the most moisturising lipsticks that I have worn on my lips, nevermind the beautiful soft brown toned red shade that I think would suit every skin tone as it is just so warming on the lips. In terms of longevity, the lipstick was comfortable on the lips for over three hours before a re-application was needed.

Gloss Lips – ‘Sheer Orange’*: You know when you stumble across one of those products that just feels luxurious and looks fabulous? This lipgloss is one of them. The peach toned gloss with hints of tiny gold flecks is perfect for the spring/summer season. A slick of gloss before you head to the beach or before heading out into the balmy sunset, this lip colour is summer on a stick. The perfect touch of sheen with a pop of fruity colour.

Ingenious Jelly Cheeks – ’02’*: After making the pledge at the start of this year to wear more product on my cheeks, I was suitably impressed with this product. Bouncy in texture, the pop of peach from the 02 shade gives my cheeks a healthy glow, the shade a hybrid between a creamy blush and bronzer. I have been wearing this soley on my cheeks and have recieved lots of complements on my ‘glow’. 

And now onto the RMK Kaleido Range which is new for SS14 and is now available online and in store at Selfridges.

Kaleidoscope Cheeks -02*: The high end highlight. I love how when applied to the top of the cheekbone this illuminator adds a subtle shimmer. In the pan, pink and tan shades with gold flecks can be mixed together to add some sunshine sparkle to your face. I also like to pat some products onto my brow bone.

Kaleidoscope Eyes – 02*: This little eyeshadow duo is the perfect pairing with the above cheek product. I wasn’t sure at first how well I would get along with the shades as pink and brown can look a little dubious. Upon first application the shadow applied nicely, they are super soft to work with and when mixed on a fluffy blending brush the colours blend into a beautiful golden, shimmery shade. Again, perfect for summertime eyes.
